Nigeria in British Playwrighting: a Festival

We’re pleased to say that the entire three week run sold out and we exceeded our client’s expections.
This three week long festival featured four plays and one debate:-
Europe’s largest free Cuban festival
12pm – 8pm, 28th and Sunday 29th June 2008
Held in Southwark Park, Surrey Quays
We developed a targeted and far reaching PR marketing strategy that featured in high profile publications to attract 60,000 visitors to the event. Publications included; Time Out, Guardian, The Times and the Indepedent. Media included; BBC London, ITV Local and a variety of Latino radio stations.
We also produced a vibrant market featuring 80 stalls selling and promoting food, fashion, craft and games from South America and Africa. And recruited and manged a team of 45 volunteers who were essential to the safety and smooth running of the festival.
Hatch Events worked closely with the client, performers and market stall holders to create an exciting and vibrant family day out, which brough the spirit of Cuba to London.
